As bloggers, we get a lot of random things sent to us (definitely not complaining, just a statement). Aaron is always most excited about the food products, but I will say most of the time any food I get is kind of odd, or it’s like one mini pack of gold fish crackers in a larger package (not sure what the point of those are…). So I will be 100% honest, when Babbleboxx reached out to me and asked me to review their Back to School Box, my expectations weren’t the highest. It will be food I thought, that I wont want to share because I’ll have #beentheredonethat, but I was wrong. Our box was filled of amazing new (to me) products and I have to say, we are absolutely hooked on more than one of the five products sent. Plus, what an amazing idea. Babbleboxx, is a subscription co-sampling initiative that involves multiple brands. But some differences between this service and the ones I’ve found have been that they provide full sized items that you actually want! #winning
So here is what we got in out box:
- Peeled Snacks White Cheddar Peas Please: SO good. I’ve bought similar products, but the flavor is amazing and the real kicker is that they’re a great snack! They offer a 1/2 serving of veggies (who doesn’t love that) and are full of fiber and protein to keep you fuller longer. http://shop.peeledsnacks.com, promo code BABBLE16. September 5th-30th, 2016.
- Popchips Ridges Cheddar Sour Cream Flavor: we’ve been a fan of POPCHIPS for awhile, so Aaron was excited to see a new flavor in rotation. These are literally popped not fried and if you don’t love Cheddar Sour Cream flavor, then you just aren’t normal. If you love potato chips, but are looking for a healthier option, definitely check these out!
- Garlic Herb, Honey Mustard and Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper Sabra Spreads™ with Hummus: Excuse me? Sabra make spreads now? Yes, they do indeed. 75% less Fat than the leading Mayonnaise, I want to put these on everything. They ARE THAT GOOD people. Sea salt…yes.
- Kahiki Crispy Tempura item, StirFresh item, Egg Rolls or Yum Yum Stix – Purchased With Included Coupon: So this one was just a coupon, but who doesn’t want to try Yum Yum Stix? I do. The all-white meat chicken breasts are sourced from local Ohio farmers which we love since we’re from there. Aaron is a huge fan of this brand, so we’re looking forward to trying these out.
- Veetee Rice: Whole Grain; Quinoa, Jasmine, Basmati and Wild Rice Pilaf: This product y’all. I cannot say enough. We’ve been buying the 90 second rice for years now but never really loved it because it didn’t taste fresh. And now with just 30 seconds more, this pops into our life and makes everything so easy! Non GMOGluten free, you name it. It’s so delicious and comes in a variety of flavors. We’ve literally been eating it non stop with dinners, the whole grain is amazing!
We don’t have kids, but everything in this box was seriously made for those on the go and is perfect for back to school moms, kids and even adults like me who just need easy! So along with sharing the contents, I also wanted to share an EASY 6 ingredient, 15 minutes or less recipe today with my favorite product from the box, Peanut Butter & Co.’s Chocmeister Chocolatey Hazelnut Spreads. Chocmeister contains 25% less sugar than the leading brand of chocolate hazelnut spreads and contains 50% more protein than the leading brand of chocolate hazelnut spreads. Finally. Less sugar and more protein! These Hazelnut Protein Bite ball are a great alternative to sweets and will hopefully keep your family feeling awesome, alert and full until dinner time when you use the rest of the boxes contents!
Here is what you need:
- 1/2 cup Peanut Butter & Co.’s Chocmeister Chocolatey Hazelnut Spreads
- 2 cups quick oats
- 1/2 cup honey (I use natural)
- 1/4 cup chia seeds
- shaved coconut, no sugar added
- 1 scoop protein powder (optional)
Basically mix all together, roll into 1-inch balls and refrigerate until hard! They are SO good, even Aaron loved them! It also makes about 24 balls!
Would you try a box subscription service like this? What about some Hazelnut bites? Say yes, because you’re missing out on both accords if you don’t. 🙂
Thank you for reading friends. We’ve almost made it to Friday which is always a good, good, feeling. Thank you for reading.
