A jacket around the waist has become a necessity here in NC since the temperatures have finally started to cool off in the morning but are still in the 80s come afternoon. I can’t believe it’s October and we’re still talking about how warm it is, I don’t feel like the heat lasted so long last year, but then again, I can hardly remember what I did yesterday, so I may have forgotten. 🙂  Speaking of warm temps and fall- one thing I’m not sad about is the fact that in NC we all pretty much wear open toe shoes throughout the fall (and sometimes into winter). I’ve always been a sandal girl, but love layering for fall, so you can see my conundrum…it’s odd but I hate closed toe shoes because I hate socks! These Corkys Footwear shoes are amazing because they are SO lightweight. I kid you not, I feel like I’m wearing marshmallows. Plus, they are a classic black wedge that I know will be a staple in my closet for years.

I think there is a possibility I might be getting sick because all I want to do is sleep. I told Aaron last night I didn’t want to do anything this weekend except for stay in and be productive and he just laughed. #rude Now I am determined to prove to” that to him. I have only checked one item off my fall cleaning “to-do” list and it’s driving me bonkers. Do you only spring clean? I try to do ti at least once a season, but I have to admit, it’s a lot!
