I am majorly crushing on holiday velvet lately and I am embarrassed to admit how many pieces I’ve added to my closet. Doesn’t this holiday velvet dress just scream holiday to you? It does me for some reason, so naturally when I was perusing the sites during Black Friday, I had to make this dress mine. I plan on wearing this holiday velvet dress for NYE, so I feel relieved that I don’t have to find something after Christmas in all the hustle and bustle of shoppers trying to return items. Something else I plan to wear is something you can’t see from the first picture though is one of my most favorite little secrets to date, my Bandelettes. If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know I am not a “thigh gap” girl, in fact, I have big legs which has always been one of my biggest insecurities. Thanks to being short, curvy and a cheerleader for 0ver 10+ years, I have some big thighs (plus, my momma gave them to me, thanks ma!).
For those of you with skinny legs, bless you- you’re lucky, but those of us with bigger legs know far too well the annoyance of the thigh rub! 🙂 Bandelettes recently reached out to me about their anti-chaffing lace garters that are perfect for wearing with dresses and skirts so that our legs don’t rub. How amazing right? They are made of lace, don’t ride up or down thanks to silicone staying technology and are honestly cute!
