I have quite literally been drawn to anything velvet lately and I don’t know why. Along with this uniquities velvet blazer from Cameron Village, I’ve also added this bag and am seriously contemplating this blush beauty as well. It’s just so…soft. lol Plus, I love mixing this material with a thinner one like this blush peplum top or a suede bag like this one from Kannons. I am definitely a layers girl, but I also strip them away quite often. I can’t sit at my work desk in a blazer, so whatever I wear under it has to be cute as well. I literally will put on my blazer/coat/etc. to get a cup of coffee, use the restroom, etc. It’s like this meme that I laugh at every time I see it.

Last night Lauren and I spent some time sitting on the couch, talking about life and watching Christmas movies again. Polar Express was on last night and I always cry at the end when Tom Hanks is talking about forgetting the magic in Christmas and not being able to hear the bell. I’m such a sap, but it’s so true! Speaking of Lauren, her and her husband match for residency today and I have to admit, I hate the thought of them moving away, but of course I hope they get their first pick (even if a small bit of me wishes they would be here selfishly). Good luck to them today!
