This mid-western girl loves the snow, but she also loves a good tan and holy shikes does the snow make you look pale! I was uploading these photos that Aaron and I snapped the other day in the midst of ICEMAGGEDON and I thought holy cow, so I need a tan! Spray tan appointment stat! Wait, who am I kidding, I don’t go anywhere but to work and I could care completely less if my coworkers think I’m a bronze beauty or not. Note to self, book something fun to do!

But seriously, when y’all do get spray tans, do you have someone do it, or go to a booth and get it done? I’ve had both, and I definitely recommend having someone do it if it’s your first time. I’ll be honest though, I never get one anymore, I use this and SWEAR by it. It works so well (obviously not using it in this photo), but my advice is to buy the mitt, it’s a game changer. The bottle lasts me months, so I definitely think it’s money well spent. One time I went to a booth and actually looked like this instead of what I was going for (you know, supermodel).

Anyway, back to me being pale in these photos, I love this black quilted jacket that’s on major sale. It’s classic and most importantly warm. I am SUCH a baby when it comes to the cold nowadays that if we don’t end up in the South and go back to the Mid-west after residency, I will probably freeze to death! It really is crazy how our bodies adapt. Don’t ya think? Man, that human body, I wish i were that smart!

I never thought I could pull or Sorel boots with my thick/short legs, but sometimes you just need a good snow boot and make it work. If you need something warm and dry, these are it and I recommend them over and over again.

I was finally able to get out of my drive to come to work today, so always a plus. Which speaking of pluses, it’s supposed to be 70 Friday. Typical southern weather. Have a great day friends, stay cool, dry, warm, etc. where ever you are!

    I have been meaning to try that self tanner. I know exactly what you mean about being pale. When I lived in Cali, I was always tan. That has completely changed since I moved to Colorado!! Love the booties btw!

    This is the perfect snow day outfit! Love the layers! And I am always too afraid to get a spray tan! I want that perfect sun kissed look but am worried it will be a little extreme. ha! I’m going to have to try out that stuff you recommended! Thanks!

    haha yes! I feel you, I hate being pale! I try to spray every couple weeks and I feel like a whole new person when I’m done. I’ll have to try out your recommendation!
