Pleated Metallic Skirt

I don’t know why, but I’ve always thought that once the holidays were over, so was the wearing of fun clothes like metallics. It’s dumb and for all this time, I’ve abided by the rule, but it’s 2017 so I’m throwing that one away for the start of the year. I saw this pleated metallic skirt a bit ago and was all, insert heart eyes, so I knew it had to be mine. I wanted to wear it the night Aaron and I planned to have our anniversary dinner, but considering the ice and this IG post, you know we never made it. But it did make it out a few days later when we finally were able to drive up our hill. 🙂 We literally shot these pictures right on our front lawn because I didn’t want to miss out on the pretty pleats against the snow. #canyoublameme

Along with the pleats, I also paired this watch which I’ve been wearing constantly. In general, I’ve been wearing a lot of watches, but all of mine are leather bands which slight distressing that are a little more casual. I love this one from Armitron because it’s sophisticated enough to wear with metallic pleats, but also casual enough that I can throw it on with a long sleeve tee and a beanie and call it a day. Best of both world in my opinion! If you’ve been searching for a versatile time piece, this is it!

I’m sure the neighbors that were out playing in the snow while I snapped these pictures think I’m crazy, but until they get to wear a pretty metallic skirt, they just wont understand! I plan to not only wear this watch all winter/spring, but this skirt as well and I’m looking forward to sharing some of the ways I dress it up and down for y’all! Stay tuned!
