Red Hot: Valentines Outfit Inspo

I can’t believe it’s mid-January, which means it’s pretty much already Valentine’s Day! Do y’all celebrate with your sweetie? We lay pretty low and don’t go too crazy, but that doesn’t mean I don’t use it as an excuse to buy myself something new and pretty! I am this close to taking the plunge on this ostrich feather top that is not only amazing and totally a swoon worthy piece for the holiday, but also on sale for under $100! And these are my favorite heels from last year, I definitely plan on picking them up in more colors this spring, now just to decide which color. And I know black isn’t technically a Valentine’s color, but who doesn’t need another LBD? I always do.

Have you picked anything up to wear for the occasion? I don’t know what we’ll be doing, but we do have a gift card for a nice restaurant in Raleigh, so maybe we’ll use it to celebrate Valentines on the cheap! Funny story, I started using Open Table when we FIRST moved to Durham since it’s always better to have a reservation in these small foodie towns and after 3.5 years, I finally have enough points to cash out for a gift card! Wowza, we spent a lot of money only to make a little! But I will say, I love using the app since it’s easy and most of our favorites make the list of available places, so in the end, we really do win for using it because everything is done via mobile and I don’t have to call and wait on hold listening to terrible music while I wait to make a phone reservation. If you’re not using it, I recommend you do if you dine out a lot and love to try new places.

I’ll consider that my PSA for the day and just say, treat yo self to something nice and have a great Wednesday!
