Happy 2017 y’all! How was he start to everyone’s New Year? I have to admit, ours was a little slow. ๐ We had four friends from home come into town to visit for the weekend and it was spent indulging in too much wine, great conversation and late nights. I’m definitely sleepy, but it was worth it to ring in the New Year with some of our best friends from college. This dress from Chicwish is under $100 and was perfect for New Years, but it would also be perfect for a winter wedding. I paired it with this brooch and fur stole I found a few weeks ago at the Cheshire Cat while trying to find my mom some vintage crystal.
Yesterday, Aaron and I “de-Christmased” the house/cleaned from the weekend and it took us 4 hours! This year I opted to use real garland for decorations, and while I loved it throughout the season, after five weeks it was dead and messy to take down. We probably vacuumed for over an hour, oy! What is the secret for keeping it alive anyhow?
Cheers to short weeks and the first full weekend of 2017 on the horizon!
Thank you for greeting me in 2017!

Taking down holiday decor is such a pain… We took about 20 “breaks” and it took us almost 2 days to get it all down! Love this dress… You look stunning!

Ugh, I feel the same way about live greenery. I think you have to mist it to keep it from drying out.
