Coffee Beans and Bobby Pins

Coming to Terms with the “Mom Uniform”

MOM UNIFORM OUTFIT DETAILS

Jeans / Booties (on sale!) / Jacket / Shirt / Bag / Sunglasses

When I found out I was pregnant, I swore to myself I wouldn’t give into the “mom uniform.” I kept picturing bad mom jeans, dirty sweatshirts, etc. I wanted to wear my heels, keep getting “fancy” and basically allow nothing to change. But the truth is, everything changes when you have a baby, there is just no denying it. So, inevitably my style has changed too, but I quickly found that the “mom uniform” is actually pretty comfortable and badass (nothing like I thought).

Between nursing and just feeling SO flustered when trying to get out of the house, simple is key. Button up tops have quickly become my new best friends thanks to their ease of feedings and heels? HA, right now I’m lucky to just get jeans on. But you know what? It’s okay because this shall pass, but for now, here is my new uniform, my “momiform” if you will. Jeans, an easy to nurse in top and the hope that my hair is clean (9 times out of 10 it’s not). ๐Ÿ™‚ Now, at home, SWEATPANTS for the win! Even when I wasn’t pregnant, sweatpants are my home go-to. #amiright?

This past weekend, Aaron and I started packing up some boxes in the house thanks to the staggers advice (I’ll be writing a blog post on this soon). The thing I learned? We have too much stuff. It’s crazy that were starting to pack so early, but I know June/July will be here before we know it and the last thing I want is so be scrambling to pack our house with a newborn (I can barely shower with one!). Other than packing a few boxes, we laid pretty low, got some take out ramen and watched some Netflix, this movie to be exact (really good).

We also KIND OF started to get Popster on a schedule which is rough (and was so unsuccessful), so any advice is appreciated!!

Have an amazing Monday friends, I need about three cups of coffee this morning! May we both be able to drink it while it’s hot!

Love this outfit. You are right, after baby everything changes. Between nursing, tantrums, spit up, etc. you have to wear what works. ๐Ÿ™‚ You look great!
