I haven’t done a Favorites Lately in what seems like a million years, so I thought I would today. I always love these types of posts from bloggers because I feel like they are more about their lives, instead of their jobs. Does that make sense? More snapshots in a sense as opposed to styled and posed I mean.
The truth is, I’ve been trying to keep it more “real” over here on CB&BP lately. I had a girlfriend tell me the other day that my words recently have been a breath of fresh air and honestly, while I want to be more “real” with all of you, I’m also doing it for myself. This blog is an outlet in my life right now to release some of the frustrations of being new to motherhood, of not being 5’10 with legs for days, of balancing life. Writing about these topics makes me feel like I’m not alone even though my computer obviously doesn’t talk back to me while I write. But, the comments you leave, the messages I receive, etc. do. I just so appreciate each of you who come to read it and my hope with this “realness” is that you not only feel inspired by my content, but most importantly, can relate to it. There is just something about getting it down on paper.
AND, there is something about a weekend which I am so ready for. Since being home on maternity leave, my days definitely all blend together, but there is still something about a weekend that makes me excited. So fill up those coffee cups and then at 5PM treat ‘yo self with a glass of vino.
You’ve earned it! Happy weekend!

Motherhood is hard. It’s hard to go from being completely independent to feeling “trapped” by a feeding/sleeping schedule and messed up hormones.
In the interim for a laugh, look up comedian Michael McIntyre’s sketch on leaving the house with kids vs. without kids. It’s hilariously accurate!
