Did y’all catch the Oscars the other night? Emma Stone completely rocked her pant look and while it may seem a little casual for such a prestigious event, I kind of love that she was badass enough to do it. As someone that has big thighs, I am a huge fan of dresses; they are easy to wear, comfortable and definitely align with my personality, but, I could not wear a dress everyday. As much I love them, sometimes they just aren’t practical, so I definitely never underestimate the power of a great pant. Can you imagine living in a world where women weren’t permitted to even wear pants? NUTS. It’s absolutely bonkers to me that as women we had to FIGHT to even wear pants – it seems so dumb. Take a look at the video HERE, it will definitely make you think a bit deeper next time you put on a pair of feminine pants.

As we approach International Women’s Day (March 8th), I think it’s so important to celebrate women (because we rock, duh). Ann Taylor has been inspired by the incredible outpouring of women marching in solidarity and demanding equality. That’s why, as a family of brands, ANN INC. inspires and connects with women to put their best selves forward every day through the HER LEAD initiative; a fellowship that provides leadership training to young women, empowering them to become the next generation of global trailblazers. I love seeing brands that I trust and love get behind amazing causes that are so valuable (you can read more about it here).

I just wanted to share this today because I think it’s so important. So go out this week, wear some feminine pants and kick some ass.

Thanks for supporting this woman’s blog. If I can ever support you in anyway, please let me know!
