Thank you Middle Sister for sponsoring this post. Bring your favorite Middle Sister wine along to all of your celebrations this year! Thank you for supporting the brands that make CB&BP possible!
I’m so excited about today’s post because it involves two of my favorite things: wine and charcuterie. In fact, I’m even mixing it up a bit with a little video and y’all know I don’t do that around here!
I love a great wine and charcuterie pairing because it’s the perfect thing to throw together for a girl’s night, party table, or even a summer date night at home. And most importantly, it’s SO easy. People always think creating beautiful cheeseboard ideas is such a challenge, but it’s actually SO easy! I generally follow the same rule of thumb when laying out my “boards” which I share in the video below. This method never fails me, I just switch up the ingredients on hand! The next hardest decision is just deciding what wine to pair yours with! It doesn’t have to be expensive and it doesn’t have to be fancy, but it does have to be fabulous (duh) and you should offer a variety. I love Middle Sister Wines for those reasons exactly (my fav is Goodie-Two Shoes Pinot Noir), they are affordable, delicious and come in a variety of flavors to please anyone. Ten years ago, founder Terry Wheatley was fascinated by her best friend’s middle daughter who was just more outrageous, more free-spirited and simply larger than life. This also rings true for my middle sister, Wendy which is why when I first saw the wine at the store years ago I thought to myself “I have to pick a bottle of that up.” I’ve been buying it ever since.
Typically, I’ll always have a bottle of red wine and white on hand since people have different preferences, but if it’s a larger party, I try to aim more towards reds, white, sweets and dry. Then you never miss anyone!
