Remember the other day when I mentioned I had some material left from NC to blog about? Well, I stumbled upon a WHOLE folder of photos I thought I’d used, but hadn’t, so yay for content that doesn’t have to be shot in our messy house (for now). I am super excited about today’s post because so many times I have struggled with an idea for what a centerpiece should be when we were having dinner company, a party, etc. Even though these ideas look gorgeous, I promise they are easy centerpiece ideas and TOTALLY do-able.
Easy Centerpiece Ideas:
#1. Dessert First: Okay, so not “technically” first, but bring it on out (as long as it’s not frozen) and put it on the most beautiful piece of serve ware you have (in my case it’s this cake platter that broke in our move- seriously heartbroken). I promise you don’t even have to “flower” it up, but if you want to, just grab some easy greenery and simple flowers and literally just stick them in at the bottoms of the cake (and shuffle greenery around the base). Yes, the flowers touch the cake/dessert, but it’s okay! In these photos, I bought a simple burnt cake and then just made it look extra pretty (but again the cake it pretty enough just on the platter to be one of the easy centerpiece ideas!).
#2. Fruit/Floral Arrangement: My tutorial for this arrangement is here and maybe takes ten minutes. It also can be used with any type of floral (think seasons) and any fruit that you can cut in thin slices (think oranges for fall, limes, lemons, etc.). Then, just pop your seasonal bouquet into a vase and voila!
#3. Floral Filler. Grab the biggest anything you have, in this case, it was my large serving bowl and fill it with your favorite filler flower. Hydrangeas are my favorite and completely affordable (my grocery sells 4 stems for $12), I grabbed two bouquets, filled the bottom with a little water and just filled it up. If you don’t have enough flowers, just move to something smaller. It’s easy, but takes up space and makes a big statement on your table.
There ya have it. Before you say “well those aren’t easy centerpiece ideas at all,” just give it a try, I promise I made each of these in less than 10 minutes, but they made a big impact on my table!
Have a great Thursday friends, make it count!
