White Shorts Post Labor Day:
First of all, happy post Labor Day. How was your day off? Ours was slow since I was came home late the night before from Asheville where I was celebrating my girlfriend’s bachelorette. Aaron worked, but we did get in a cookout with friends which is always nice.
And since Labor Day was yesterday which in many eyes constitutes the end of summer, the question must be asked, what are your thoughts on white after Labor Day? I am pro-white after Labor Day. I think white has a place in the warmth and sunshine, so considering it’s going to be 90 today, I say rock it. I am also pro white in winter when paired with more subtle hues like tan and beiges (so basically, year round). When I was growing up, I remember my mom never allowing us to wear our white patent shoes after said holiday, but times change and I have been obsessed with these white shorts since buying them in four different colors at the beginning of summer and I plan on wearing these white shorts into fall. Actually, my favorite thing is shorts and oversized sweatshirts…SO COZY.
The heat it on this week to get our house in somewhat presentable condition because we’re having a 68th birthday grill out for my mother in law. As of right now, we have Penelope’s room torn apart and nothin hung on the walls and today is already Wednesday. EEK. Wish me luck y’all because I need it like whoa!
