Blanket / Sweater / Jeans / Lantern / Pumpkins / Gold Pumpkin / Wreath / Mat
Once upon a time, I wrote a post about making your small front porch inviting and guess what? We bought another house with a small front porch haha. Luckily, what we lack in porch we make up for in back patio, but regardless, I love decorating porches for seasons, so even if your porch is small, you can still use these fall front porch ideas below to create a cozy fall vibe on yours!
Super Cute Fall Front Porch Ideas:
- Layer Rugs: Even if your porch isn’t huge, you can still add depth by layering some festive rugs. I love this rug that‘s super festive over this more muted option.
- Grab a Variety: I always go for the more characteristic pumpkins, but not everyone does. All of the same style can be boring, so I opt for a variety of different colors and sizes and even some faux ones to add visual interest!
- Utilize Lanterns and Candles. One thing I love about lanterns is that they are worth the investment and are timeless. You can use them in any decor, so why not start with fall. Ours are solar, so even better!
- Grab some foliage. Mums the word if you use fake or not, or incorporate both! I opted for these planters with live mums, but this gorgeous wreath for our door so I can use it time and time again.
- Don’t be afraid to go faux. Juts like using a wreath with fake fall goodness, there is no shame on bringing out some faux pumpkins if you’re worried about timing or preserving them. I used pumpkins like these and this along with my real pumpkins because I liked the visual mixture of them!
- Add cozy Seating and/or cozy blankets: If you don’t have space for seating (that’s okay, us either!), throw some cozy blankets down and pop a squat. We plan on just sitting on our stoop to pass out candy and I’m so excited!
- Bring some outside in: Don’t be afraid to pluck something that’s not working for you inside and bring it out! Just like this “gather” sign and the faux pumpkins, they helped complete my little fall porch! It may just be the finishing touch you’re looking for.
And those are the fall front porch ideas and tips I follow! Now, I just need to keep everything alive until after Thanksgiving. I read the other day that if you soak your pumpkins in bleach water for 5-10 minutes and then let them dry that it will preserve them, so tomorrow I’m going to try! I’ll report back.
Now, for coffee. Fill the cups up friends and make it a great Tuesday.
