Officially almost mid-DECEMBER, eeek! Now that P’s first birthday party is over (wow, that was a lot of work), I can finally concentrate on getting ready for the holidays. I love easy, delicious recipes during this time of year so I can actually enjoy the season instead of stress about it. I’ve teamed up with 7UP® and Giant Eagle to bring you a fun twist on traditional holiday punch: a holiday punch bar! I love this 7UP non-alcoholic holiday punch because while I top it with “holiday-esque” items, you could easily use the recipe for any time of year and just use some ingredients that seem fitting! I used a bunch of different flavors so that it would taste DELISH, and it did, but if you want yours to be more on theme with, say, lemon, orange, etc. you could use products of just that flavor. See my non-alcoholic holiday punch recipe below:
Non-Alcoholic Holiday Punch Recipe:
Ingredients Needed:
-7UP® – I know some people use a different type of “fizz” for their punch, but I love 7UP because of its subtle, refreshing lemon/lime flavor and also the fact that it’s the perfect amount of fizz when mixed with the other ingredients.
-Sherbet Ice Cream (I used lemon and raspberry)
-2 cans concentrate frozen juice (I used pink lemonade and orange Giant Eagle brand)
-Toppings. I used cranberries, a sugar rim with red sprinkles for added festivity, lemons, limes and cherries with stems. All ingredients I found easily at Giant Eagle!
Assembly:
-Pour 2-liter 7UP into punch bowl. I was also thinking 7UP Cherry could be yummy and red tinted, which would be on theme for the holidays!
-Add concentrate (let this sit out a good 15-20 minutes prior to mixing so it’s easy to get out of the tube)
-Add scoops of sherbet ice cream
-Sugar rim by slightly running rim of punch cup under water. Dip rim in a dish full of sugar and twist a few times until covered. Pour punch into cup and top with desired toppings. YUM!
-Garnish with rosemary sprig
Your end result is fruity, refreshing and fun thanks to 7UP. It will get a little frothy and that’s normal, so don’t worry! If you really want to be extra, you can top punch with a small scoop of ice cream because … sugar. ☺ Like I mentioned above, I picked everything up at Giant Eagle because it’s my go-to spot for quality ingredients, easy shopping, and all things grocery (and gift cards!).
I loved putting together the fun little video below!
I’d love to know what your go-to drink for entertaining is!
