One of the things I made sure to do before the holidays hit was to really consider how I wanted to start off 2019. I feel like all of 2018 was spent learning how to balance work, motherhood and life. In addition, we moved—which was crazy time consuming since we did so much work to our house right from the get-go. It was a crazy and stressful year, full of focusing time and energy on other things besides myself.
For 2019, one of the things I really want to focus on is me. So today, I teamed up with Danone to share my top self care resolutions in 2019.
Self Care Resolutions:
1. Focus on good for you snacks and eating more “cleanly.” I love food and snacks, I just don’t always make the right decisions when doing so. By stocking my fridge more regularly with clean food items, I know it makes grabbing them SO much easier. I love being able to grab Oikos® Triple Zero Mixed Berry from my fridge because they are SO flavorful and filling with their 15 grams of protein, which means I can snack and then focus on what matters most in life—like motherhood, etc.
2. Get moving. I never stopped moving per se, but I definitely got a little sluggish in 2018. I want to at least hit up the gym or be active 4 times each week in 2019. It’s such a great way to free my mind and reduce stress.
3. Match my healthy outside to my “inside.” For the longest time, I’ve been meaning to incorporate probiotics and also vitamins into my routine. I love the Activia Dailies for gut health because they are so convenient for on-the-go life and they taste great! I pick them up at Meijer in their little crate and voila—so easy to grab! I definitely think gut health is so important, so here’s hoping these are a jump start!
4. Cook more at home and incorporate nutritious foods. Greek yogurt like Light & Fit® Original Greek instead of sour cream? Yes, please! And it tastes the same! I also love that it is packed full of protein, and I know there are so many other switches like this delicious one that I could be making! I definitely order take out FAR TOO MUCH, and cooking at home is often so rewarding for my health and pocket book! I’d like to make it a goal to cook at least 5 nights a week! That means more grocery shopping at Meijer to get all that delicious, nutritious food!
5. Get more sleep and relax more! This is something that I struggle with all the time! I definitely need my beauty sleep, but I want to aim to go to bed earlier and get up earlier so I can enjoy some quiet “me-time” in the mornings.

This self care resolution list is, of course, ever changing. And I have other goals in terms of work, motherhood, being a wife, etc. that I’m building. But this list is just for me and my goals for this body and mind.
