Galentine’s Day Gifts:
There is a scene from one of my favorite shows where the main character utters “wow, all my friends are taken.” It’s funny because I thought of that quote the other day when I almost uttered similar words myself. This Valentine’s / Galentine’s Day is the first time that all of the girls near and dear to my heart have found their person, and I couldn’t be more excited. It used to be that I sent Valentines to my single ladies to remind them they were so loved (by me, of course!) This year, I thought, “Well, if they don’t need a Valentine, maybe they need a Galentine’s celebration!” Let’s be honest, friendship never goes out of style (catch the reference, anyone?), and American Greetings helps me show my favorite ladies how much I care this time of year. Save now on your American Greetings Galentine’s or Valentine’s Day cards with this cartwheel offer.
So, I decided to make the most adorable and easy DIY Galentine’s Day gifts for all the wonderful ladies in my life who mean SO much and have been with me through thick and thin! I thought it would be so fun to host them over for donuts, champagne, and some thoughtful American Greetings cards, and then give them their little Galentine’s Day gifts to let them know how much they mean to me! It’s such a fun little reminder that, while love between people should be celebrated, love amongst friends should be, too! You always need someone to vent to after all!
Here is what I put in my little bags:
-Small bottle of Prosecco
-Chapstick
-American Greetings Valentines (remember when you passed these out in school and how fun it was? We should bring this back! I got these adorable donut-themed ones at Target and love that they go with our Galentine’s champagne and donut theme!)
-Unicorn Poop (just a little fun ,also picked up from Target)
-A cute pair of earrings from Target
You could also do a face mask or beauty stuff, but my bag was LOADED and nothing else was fitting. I picked up cute cellophane bags and white ribbon and then clothes-pinned a larger American Greetings card on the front that I wrote a little message in for each friend. If the bag isn’t something you feel is necessary, I love even sending a great card from American Greetings and just letting your gal pals know that you appreciate them, too! No one ever said Valentine’s Day was just slotted for your significant other (although, I did pick up a card for Aaron, too!). Not sure what to write in your Galentine or Valentine? Check out some inspiration from American Greetings here!
Do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? I know it’s not a “real” holiday, but I think it’s fun nonetheless. Any reason to get together, eat donuts and drink champagne!
