It’s hard to know as a new mom what you need in your toddler diaper bag. Eventually though, I feel like I kind of got the hang of packing it and then poof, P was a toddler and it completely changed. When I was clueless, I would Google what to keep on hand in my bag, but I didn’t see many covering toddler bags, so I thought it might be fun to share.
But here is the kicker, in real life, 80% of the time, my diaper bag looks like this:
We do have an actual diaper bag we use and love, but I’d say most of the time I carry my LV GM. I do have this which helps with organization, but the real MVP of my toddler diaper bag (and any bag really) has been my Adero. I got this little contraption around Christmas time and it has completely changed my life (no joke). I don’t dig in my bag for wallets, keys, etc. anymore before leaving the house, with Adero and the push of a tag, I can easily check to make everything is inside and boom, I’m out of the house!
How does it work? You use a phone to set everything up and then use Adero’s tags to tag the items you need most often. I tag the following:
-Keys
-Wallet
Honestly, the tags are super sticky, so I keep them on my keys always, but in my wallet I just lip it in a slip. You can also purchase other tags in case you want to use different bags, etc. with the system. Then, before you leave, you can check the app and it will let you know if everything is together, or apart. No more digging!! You can also set reminders in the app like “make sure you switch you bag from mom to date night on….” Make sense?
I now carry the same goodies around with me, but I don’t completely stress when my bag looks like a disaster because I have Adero to make sure I have all the necessities which means I’m not stressed when I can’t find my wallet or keys because 99.9% of the time they are under a stuffed animal, toy, etc.
So what’s actually in my toddler diaper bag besides Adero?
Toddler Diaper Bag Essentials:
-My tote savvy which holds:
-a fruit pouch / granola bar (the granola bar serves double duty to whoever gets hungry first, me or her).
-an extra shirt for P (or outfit)
-diapers (typically 2)
-wipes
-1 or 2 small toys
–hand sani and sunscreen in summer
-phone charger (also another item I could tag with my Adero!)
-lipgloss/chapstick
-keys
-wallet
-phone
-notebook/planner
I do try to clean my bag and reorganize one time a week, but Adero has made that process so much easier because I don’t stress if I DON’T get to it. It’s pods are all rechargeable and most importantly it takes less than 10 minutes to set up, weighs nothing and is a game changer end of story.
It’s available on the iOs and Android store, so what are you waiting for? Aaron recently said he wanted one for his work bag, he’s constantly losing his wallet/keys. There are so many functions, it’s endless.
Let me know if you have additional questions, happy to answer them!
Have a great day babes, now go clean out your bags (and get coffee!).
