Okay, so it’s still snowing off and on in Ohio and what I assume many other states. SO I can’t blame myself for thinking about spring and warmer temps. I’m SO looking forward to taking P places this spring since she’s more mobile and will most likely take in new adventures and sites. But, while it’s still cold, I’m reaching for items in my closet that remind me of spring, but still keep me warm, so I wanted to share my main winter to spring fashion essentials with y’all!
Winter to Spring Fashion:
- White Denim: When I’m totally sick of snow, I throw my white denim on with an oversized sweater and feel like spring is coming…eventually.
- Mules: I wear my silver mules almost weekly as long as there isn’t snow on the ground.
- Ankle Booties: Not only great for colder days, perfect for pairing with dresses, skirts and short sleeve tops and jeans. I always love a great detail like a cut out, etc. along the sides for spring. Love these for their detailing.
- Utility Jacket: I’ve had this jacket for years and go back to it every season. It’s worth the investment, I also have one similar to this one.
- Fun Jewelry: A pair of statement earrings can always transition a look, so when my outfit needs some pizazz, I go for the biggest! I love what earrings can do for an outfit.
- Oversized Cardigan: Perfect for layering and warm for those chilly winter or spring days.
- Basic White Tee: Under sweaters, under a great denim jacket, it’s the perfect staple item in your closet for all seasons. Pair it with boots and denim, or a fun spring skirt! This is my favorite (and I have it in MANY colors). I always have two white on hand.
- Chambray Shirt: Just like a basic white tee, this is an essential for layering. I love wearing them under sweaters, big cardigans and then with skirts, shorts, etc. during warmer days. This one is adorable and under $25.
- Aviators: Y’all know I love my aviators. Timeless and classic, if you don’t have a pair for spring, you need one. Here is a great option under $25.
- Rain Boots: Snow or rain, much needed for the days ahead. You can also find great boots here.
- Faux Leather Jacket: I’ve already said it 100 times, but a great faux leather jacket is perfect for layering! I love pairing them over white tees, or even a great spring dress and booties. This one comes with a removable hood and I am loving both colors.
And now, for coffee. Mwah! Thanks always for reading friends!
