Best Products For Dark Circles
Okay, I know it’s April and I’m just getting started, but one of my goals for 2019 was to bring you more diverse content including more beauty posts. Since having P, I honestly just feel like my dark circles are out of control. Obviously, when I’m hydrated and well rested, I notice a difference (but I rarely am both of those things let’s be honest), but even in the slight chance I am, I still feel like my skin is just dull under my eyes. After lots of failed trials, I’ve found a pretty good concoction of products and techniques I love, so I thought I’d share today. However, I also want you to know I do not do this every day since it is a few steps. I’m not a full makeup everyday kind of girl, often times it’s tinted moisturizer (this is my fav) and mascara all day, but when I do take the time to put makeup on, this is my go-to. Sometimes if I’m out running errands with my tinted+mascara look, I will dab some of the products below under my eyes, too!
Starting: Okay, here is me with no face makeup on whatsoever:
Then, I start with primer and foundation. I LOVE this foundation and I’ve went through about four bottles as well as the matching primer. It smells like peaches, not even kidding. Anyway, to start covering your circles, you have to create a base for the other products to stick to, so I always start with a good base of primer+foundation and make sure I blend well under the eyes so it’s not “cakey.”
Next, using this, I dab under each eye as close to the lash line as I can get. This is my first pot of this product and I’m really liking it. I opted for a color a little more orange/peachy to really cover up those dark circles. It doesn’t take a lot and even though the pot is on the smallish side, I’ve had mine for at least three months and I just now see the bottom.
Once that’s dry (I’ll typically do something else for a few seconds), I use this in my T-zone (down my nose, in between brows and then in little triangles under eyes). Again, big fan of this concealer. This brightens the under eye area while adding extra coverage and doesn’t cake. I also feel like it lasts throughout the day which is a no brainer when it comes to what you need in a concealer.
ALMOST DONE. Next up, blush and highlighter. Even though these aren’t “concealing” type products, they balance the face and distract from the eyes by giving color, so I never forget them! I’ve used this blush for years and recently discovered this highlighter under my sink (HA) and I love it.
Then, voila. Not perfect (only 10+ hours of sleep and no wine would get me that), but definitely better!
Thanks for checking out my best products for dark circles post! Let me know if you want info on the colors I’m wearing. Sometimes I find that it’s better not to list because we each have our own coloring, so what’s good for me may not be the best for you.
Now, coffee to help this brain feel like these concealed circles!
