OLD NAVY Striped T-Shirt Dress

This is my absolute favorite kind of look: easy, comfortable and easy to move in for chasing toddlers. 🙂 This t-shirt dress is coming with me on our trip to Paris/Nice (and so are these sneakers!). We actually leave on Saturday and I am feeling SUPER anxious because we’re not taking Penelope with us. She’s in good hands staying with a combination of my brother/sister-in-law, mother-in-law and a trusted sitter, but I still will just miss her SO much! We’ve actually had this trip in the works for over a year now so I don’t know why I’m so anxious about it, lol.

Our friend is actually getting married in Nice, so that’s the reason for the trip, but we decided to go to Paris a few days before the wedding since we loved it so much during our honeymoon. My friend Marion is actually from Nice, so that’s why they are getting married there (we’ve been asked why we have friends getting married all the way in Nice, France and that’s why).

We leave on Saturday and with the short week, there is so much to do logistically for P and also with packing, travel plans, etc. And, as goofy as it sounds, I want to soak in as many Poppy snuggles as I can before we leave. If you have any tips for traveling without children and keeping your sanity, please let me know. Seriously.

And you know what comes next friends, alllll of the coffee possible. My to-do list is long and I need those snuggles too, so COFFEE.

    I travel a lot for work and I tell myself to get excited for “me” time. I get excited to not cut up little people’s food, to sleep in, to wear what I want without considering if it’s dry clean only or bend-over proof, to not listen to “Baby Shark” on repeat :). If that doesn’t work, I think about all of the fun I had with baby sitters, my grandparents, and my aunt when my parents went out of town and know my daughter feels the same way. Books, not social media, are a better way to escape too in the hotel and on the plane if you’re missing her. She’ll be fine and ready to see you when you get back. Have fun!!
