Toddler Girl Bathroom Ideas
Bonjour! I am currently writing this from our Paris Airbnb and listening to the sounds of the trucks on the streets below. We arrived yesterday morning and my feet are already sore from a day full of walking (first world problems, I know). I wanted to try to still post this week and since our friends we’re traveling with love sleeping, I figured this early bird could get a few posts in before they wake up each AM. LOL
Today, I wanted to share Penelope’s bathroom reveal with y’all. This bathroom is in the hallway upstairs and is share by two of the bedrooms up there (AKA the “kids” bathroom). Our guest room has it’s own bathroom, so once we have more kiddos, this will be primarily used by them. This bathroom definitely has some older features, so long term we’d love to change the vanity and flooring, but we did give it a mini makeover before we’re able to tackle the longer to-dos in this room. I wanted to do something gender neutral since we don’t know what’s in store for us gender wise with our next kiddo and I love this removable wallpaper we picked. I love peel and stick wallpaper because it’s a great way to change a room instead of using paint and we’ve had such great results with it in this house and our prior. I painted the vanity in this room a navy/royal-ish blue color and added new hardware to make it look fresh, as well as installing a new mirror above the vanity.
For the time being until we can overhaul the room more, we love how it turned out. Sometimes it doesn’t take a HUGE remodel, just a refresh and small touches like the teak stool, the canvas prints of P in the tub, etc. make a room feel completed even if when in your head it’s not. Every time I walk by this room, I smile because I can picture the kiddos splashing in the tub together one day, or fighting over the bathroom mirror. Until then, it’s just our sweet P and some fun dots.
Now for espresso, because after all, we’re in Paris and that’s what the Parisians drink. 🙂
