Y’all know from stories that I recently got new glasses from LensCrafters at Macys. I also recently had my first eye exam in over seven years (embarrassing long, I know). We currently live right near a Macys, so when I was googling places for eye exams that accepted vision insurance, I was so pleased to see LensCrafters right down the street from us. The RayBans I wear from seven years ago (and still wear) are from LensCrafters, and I remember picking LensCrafters that last go-around because of their variety of styles, price points and name brands they carried. So, when I realized select LensCrafters stores can also be found inside of Macys, it was a win-win (especially because I had some holiday shopping to do anyway!). I was able to set up the appointment online, which was so quick and easy because #momlife. Plus, they had a variety of times and appointments that worked, so I was able to get in within two days which was great.
My Experience in Lenscrafters at Macys
Upon arriving, the office staff was SO nice and friendly. Dr. Samantha Kinross was so professional and great at explaining everything she was doing, which made me feel extremely comfortable. The actual exam took about 30 minutes and then came the fun part, picking out new frames! I knew I wanted something chic and fun since my RayBans are a little more traditional. Michelle, the Optician was so helpful pointing out new frames, making suggestions, etc. As I mentioned, LenCrafters Macys has a great selection of designer frames designer eyewear brands like Ray-Ban, Tory Burch, Versace, Tiffany & Co., Dolce and Gabbana and Prada. Once I had a bunch of frames, we narrowed the selections and then used their in store photo technology to compare the photos together. Having the ability to compare side by side helped so much because I just couldn’t decide, but once I saw myself in some of them, it was a hard no!
My four finalist options below:
I ended up going with the Dolce Gabbana glasses (DG5036) pictured last. I LOVE them and their gold detailing on the sides/end. Once I finalized a frame, it was time for the expert fitting and choosing selections! There are so many things to pick from after you choose you frames (and I thought that was the tough part). I opted no on transition lenses, but it’s a great option, but I did select a blue light filtering options with the Modern Lifestyle Lenses.
Honestly, I had a GREAT experience at both my eye appointment and the selection process and I trust LensCrafters quality because to be 100% transparent when my glasses came in, they actually called me and said they weren’t happy with them and asked if I would mind waiting a few days for a re-order. To me, that’s true customer service, they even gave me the option of picking up the pair in and wearing them until a new pair arrived.
Overall, I may not be cool enough for the frames I picked (I joke with Aaron about this), but the fit is SO spot on and I appreciate their attention to detail. I’m extremely happy with my purchase and will definitely be back (they have sunglasses, too!).
Now, I’m off to try to get some work done, since I have some great new glasses and can actually see. 🙂
But first, coffee.
Almost the New Year my friends, treat yo’self to an eye exam.
