This medicine cabinet essentials post has been sponsored by Johnson & Johnson®. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Hey, hey, friends. How are ya? We’re gearing up for New Years. This year has been so fun with Penelope vs. last year when she was barely a human. In the meantime of all the New Year prep, though, I’m excited to team up with Johnson and Johnson today to share Penelope’s medicine cabinet essentials. I love taking a peek into spaces like this, and I thought it might be beneficial to share what’s in hers since, as a parent, I’m often at a loss for ideas, what I need, etc. I get that not every child has a medicine cabinet, but they do have a “stock” of goodies, I’m sure, in a basket, closet, etc. That’s basically what I’m sharing here.
Medicine Cabinet Essentials
- Lotion, Lotion, Lotion: We have tried SO many different lotions in the 2 years that P has been with us, but we ALWAYS go back to J&J. We use their regular JOHNSONS’s® Baby Lotion for daytime use and then the nighttime JOHNSON’s Bedtime® Baby Lotion (smells so good) at night because it has calming scents. Lotion is so important for kiddos this age because their skin NEEDS to stay hydrated!
- Neosporin® / Bandaids®: We love J&J’s kid-friendly bandaids and as any parent knows, sometimes they are used as “stickers” more than boo-boo healers. But when we do have a “situation,” we also always have Neosporin® on hand to make sure boo-boos feel better.
- Grooming Materials: Nail Clippers, hair brush, hair ties, etc. All necessities for keeping your little one looking fabulous (and not like what they actually are: tiny disasters).
- Thermometer / Medication: In case the cold strikes (or something else), we always have an array of different medications on hand like cough syrup, pain relievers, etc. I won’t go into brands because people should decide what’s best for them, but it’s good to always have a bottle on hand.
- Toothbrush: My father-in-law was a pediatric dentist, and it is SO important at this age (and earlier) to start the brushing process to instill good habits. We do this in the AM and PM with P and when it’s time, we’ll also incorporate J&J toothpaste, like Listerine®, (right now, it’s just water).
Not a ton but all necessities. Honestly, I cannot say enough about Johnson and Johnson and how much we love their products. They really are a family company; my sister actually works for them, and they have amazing family values, benefits, and products! I seriously use their nighttime JOHNSON’s Bedtime® Baby Lotion for myself sometimes (but don’t tell P).
