**Note, I scheduled this post to go live Tuesday of last week and for some reason it didn’t, but I still wanted to share and hope it bring some inspiration for your holiday table!
If you’ve been keeping up over here, you know that my family (and myself) are going through some serious stuff. I know I’ve confused y’all beyond belief and I’m sorry. I’m still working on that “update” post, but today, I wanted to share my Thanksgiving tablescape ideas with y’all in case you need some inspiration for yours. I am not actually hosting Thanksgiving for four, and I am terribly sad I don’t have the opportunity this year since we sold our gorgeous home, but putting this table together for the day and shooting it made everything feel a little bit like “old times.” It was therapeutic. Plus, I did cook a turkey the day I shot this in our Air Fryer by Charbroil, so it seemed fitting that I’d set a beautiful table for a beautiful bird — I guess.
I honestly LOVE setting tables and creating spaces to celebrate with friends and family. Some people think when I have them over for dinner I’m being “extra” but it’s not about impressing them, it’s honestly about creating a beautiful place to sit, talk and eat delicious food for one another. Just like great tasting food feeds our soul, creating beauty in life feeds mine and friends, I have most definitely needed some beauty the last few months. So I brought out what dishes I didn’t put in storage and went to work and this is what I came up with. I am dreaming of my gorgeous long table, all of my Mackenzie-Childs china and linens, but for this year, I am trying to be thankful for what I do have: friends, family, a roof to cover my head, food on my table (and still beautiful dishes/linens) and this space to create, talk with you and share parts of my life.
Thanksgiving Tablescape Ideas
SO with that, let me say dear friends that during this week of Thanksgiving, I am thankful for you. I will probably never share exactly what I’m going through, but I will give a brief update and while that may not be what you’re looking for please know this: this space on the internet of coffeebeansandbobbypins.com has meant so much to me the past 7 years, but even more the past 7 weeks.
You have filled me with love, kindness and friendship that I didn’t even know existed from complete strangers. You have filled my cup. You have emptied my cup that has been overflowing with sadness, heartache and pain and filled it with hope, love and friendship.
Thank you will never be enough and I may not ever be able to repay you, but what I will do is show up here and keep creating. For you. For me.
We are strong, my friends. We are resilient, and brave and powerful. We are complete badasses. Don’t forget it and I’m going to try to not forget it, too.
But first, you know what. Coffee.
