Happy hump day sweetest friends. Your comments on my last post seriously brought tears to both mine and Aaron’s eyes. Your support, kind words and everything in between touched me and mean the absolute world to me. I plan to respond to each.and.every.one of you, but I just need some time to compose my thoughts as it’s obviously a difficult subject.
For many reasons, today’s post on our master bedroom remodel ideas for our old house was not easy to write. But I found these photos on my computer the other day and still wanted to share them with you because I absolutely loved this space in our last home and thought it might inspire someone for your own bedroom. Life got hard, but this was still a beautiful bedroom and I hate to hide it from the world because we hit a bump.
I remember picking paint colors for our last home and feeling so apprehensive about the dark wall choice, but once I stepped inside after it had been painted, I knew I loved it. While the walls were dark, the room always felt bright and relaxing to me, very unique (mostly because of the odd layout) and comfortable…just as a master bedroom should be.

While I’m sad to look at these photos, I’m also really excited to start showing y’all our new spaces. ANNNND, I’m almost ready to do so! One thing I’m really going to focus on in the new space is showing y’all the progression. I feel like with the last house I ONLY shared posts once the spaces were finished, but I want to show you that a house or a room is truly never finished…so don’t beat yourself up. Decor is ever changing and ever evolving, so my goal is to show you how my rooms do just that as time goes on. We have SO many projects we want to complete in this house, some DIY and some professional and I’m super pumped to take y’all along for the journey.
All I can say is that I hope the owners of our old house didn’t paint the walls. 🙂 I love that color and while I didn’t use it in our bedroom in this house, it did appear in another room. Coming soon!
Now time for coffee friends. I wish I could sit down and have a cup with each of you. I mean that.

That room is gorgeous, but you will find the beautiful in a new place! And I bet it will be better than you could have ever imagined! XOXO

Sorry to say that the very first room we painted was the master bedroom. The color was far too dark for us. And our next project is to remove the wall paper from the hall
