Happy Thursday friends, how are ya? This week has been a doozy, so I’m looking forward to the coming weekend even though we don’t have any plans (does anyone anymore? HA). Today I wanted to pop on and share our dinning room transformation and the blue floral wallpaper we chose to install. This is probably one of my favorite rooms in the house despite never using it (Corona virus has really put a damper on entertaining). I’m looking forward to hosting some great dinners in here one day…once life gets back to normal, but for now, I just enjoy seeing it everyday when I walk by. This room has went through a major transformation since we moved in, here is what it looked like when we moved in:
Our Blue Floral Wallpaper Dinning Room.
The first thing we did in here was replace the light fixture. I went a little more “fancy” with our chandelier this go-around because we have the beautiful chandeliers in our entry and I thought it flowed into this space well. It was SUPER fun hanging each individual crystals (not), but it’s so beautiful with the light on and from the light coming in through the windows. Next, Aaron installed wainscoting below the chair rail and I painted it white which brightened up the room from the yellowish coloring that was throughout the whole house when we purchased it (you can see our home’s paint colors here).
Just by painting the white of the wainscoting made a huge difference to the space, but what really made the room was this wallpaper which we recently had hung. It SO beautiful and I love how it adds some color to the house right when you first walk in through the entry.
Y’all probably remember my beautiful china cabinet from our last home. It’s one of my favorite furniture pieces in our house, not because it’s expensive (it wasn’t), but because it was a labor of love that both my dad and Aaron helped me accomplish. Plus, I loved looking at all of my beautiful china pieces, some old, some new, but all pieces I love having in my home and tell a story.
We had the curtains from Close to Custom Linens in our last dinning room and I adore them. Their quality is amazing and I love how they will do the design work for you if needed. If you need high quality drapery, you should definitely check them out. I know I typically post what else there is to do in rooms, but this is probably the only room in the house that feels “done” right now.
Maybe I should start having my morning coffee in this space. In fact, I think I will. Thanks for reading friends.

Is that quartz on your kitchen countertops? If so what is the name of it? Love it!
