Happy Friday friends! Who enjoyed football being back on the last few days? Something tells me a lot of husbands are happy across the US. I honestly am indifferent…feels so weird to watch empty stadiums and have fans “cheering” as voice overs. haha But, I will always welcome a bit of normalcy back into this non-normal world we’re living in right now. A refresh of life if you will.
Anywho, if you’ve been following me on stories, you know Aaron is building a playhouse and I am currently making over a dollhouse I bought pre-owned on Facebook marketplace. Both projects are taking MUCH longer than either of us anticipated, so to keep it interesting, we’ve decided to also take on a master bathroom refresh in addition.
Here is what it looked like in the listing photos- yikes, those photos are so bad. What you can’t see is the track lighting, terrible industrial type fixtures mixed with the white subway tile, or the 90’s sliding mirrors complete with medicine cabinets behind them (similar to Penelope’s bathroom before).
Our master bath is not terrible, but it’s certainly not swoon worthy either. Way down the road, I’d like to rip out the current tub, vanity and shower flooring, but for now, it’s actually fine (I’m just picky and want something a little more WOW). But, because decorating a home takes time and homes are ever evolving, for now we have super fun plans for this space in the next month or two to prove that you don’t have to a complete gut job (or huge budget) to make a BIG difference in your home. Just give it a refresh!
Here are some things we’ll be doing in the space:
- Removing 90’s sliding mirrors and medicine cabinets behind (and patching)
- Hanging Wallpaper from York Wall Coverings
- Painting vanity and installing new hardware
- Removing track lighting and moving light to over the tub
- Installing new faucets, mirrors, lights, hardware
- Replacing shower doors
- Actually styling/decorating space!
My vision board for the space is above and while it seems a little “cramped” it will all be spaced out beautifully and I can’t wait to see the project come together.
I’m linking everything we’re using from Build.com below, but I can’t wait to share more about the process and details of the pieces we chose!
I don’t often share posts like this, but I’m really tryin to be better about taking y’all from start to finish and the process in between! I hope that’s okay! Now, I need to go finish that doll house so I can start papering! But first, coffee!
Have an amazing weekend friends. Sending well wishes and fall weather!
