Friends. How the heck are ya? I know, I have been MIA. Have you been following our Master Bath refresh on Instastories? It’s sucking up all my energy and then there is the rain- ugh. It literally has rained all week. I was supposed to meet with my fabulous photographer to shoot some fun new content and had to reschedule almost every.single.day. It’s good napping weather, but that has not helped this momma accomplish much. But good news; the bathroom is FINALLY coming together which means I feel like I’m getting my life back, haha. If you’re like me and trying to soak in ALL the fall things right now, you need to make this DIY pumpkin succulent. This would make SUCH a cute fall table centerpiece and took me all of 15 minutes to put together.
Pumpkin Succulent
Here is what you need:
- Succulents (could use faux) or real (mine are real). For a pumpkin my size, I recommend 3-5. I kind of separated the vine succulent to spread across the top of mine.
- Moss
- Hot Glue
- Pumpkin
- Spray clear coating (any type will do)
Here is what you do:
- I personally started by spraying clear lacquer on my pumpkin to ensure it lasts through Thanksgiving.
- Remove pumpkin stemUsing your hot glue gun, spread moss over the top and glue graciously. Moss should be thick enough for the succulents to kind of “burrow” into.
- Remove succulents from the planters and remove any excess dirt. A little is fine, but you want most of it gone so the root system can sit inside the moss.
- Use glue sparingly to place succulent in moss (if needed).
- Place in a well lit area and lightly mist once a week.
- VOILA, cute centerpiece!
I think this probably cost around $30, but you could do more or less succulents or even a small pumpkin (with smaller surface area). Mine is pretty big and I’ve had it for over a month and it’s holding up great!
P and I are off on this cloudy (it might rain AGAIN today) Friday, but regardless, I’m happy its the weekend because Aaron is off and hasn’t been in two weeks. Hopefully we have some fall fun planned! Have a great weekend my sweet friends, thanks for showing up even when I don’t sometimes.
But to begin this weekend, first…coffee.
