How’s everyone doing today, friends? I know it’s been a stressful year and if you’re like me, you’re already welcoming the holidays because some cheer is always needed. But because of the stress (and weather changes), you might also be welcoming dry skin, dry eyes and worst, cold sores. I HATE THEM and whenever I am STRESSED to the max, one appears, especially during colder months. Remember when I was chatting about them the other day on Insta stories? ICK.
Everything You Need to Know About Campho Phenique
Recently I was introduced to Campho Phenique® Cold Sore Treatment and it’s been a huge relief. First and foremost, it doesn’t smell bad like some products I’ve used. This smells more like a lip balm and goes on clear to prevent cracking and provide relief fast. It uses antiseptic and analgesic ingredients, camphor and phenol, to help promote healing fast which is what we all want when plagued with a cold sore, am I right? Thank goodness, is there anything worse? It’s also available at local retailers which is another huge win. When I brought it home even Aaron was like, “alrighty, something good to have in the medication arsenal.” He typically laughs at my “beauty” purchases.
Honestly, with 2020 going the way it has, the last thing we all want is a cold sore around our mouths! I hate what the cold weather does to my skin, but I hate even more what it does to my face (amen for masks?), and this is just one of the ways I can combat realities!
Now that our cold sore symptoms are under control, thanks to Campho Phenique, let’s get to the more important things of the season, like how cute this dress would be for family photos for that Christmas card?!? And also, just how pregnant I’m looking in the 8th month (I swear I was never this big with P!!)- the countdown is surely on my friends.
Now, to finish getting into the holiday spirit with some more decor (you can see our master bedroom refresh here), accompanied by a big ole’ coffee.
