Happy Monday friends and how are you?How was your weekend? Ours was good, but busy. Because of the virus and since Aaron works this Christmas, we wont be going to my family’s this year for the holidays. It’s definitely disappointing, but also necessary to do what’s best for our family this year (and again, Aaron works, so we can’t go really anyway). So, since we wont be going home, my parents came this weekend to celebrate Christmas a little early and swap presents for a Facetime visit on Christmas day. The only ever time I haven’t been home fro Christmas was the year Penelope was born, so it seems coincidental that this year I’m about to have another baby and wont be going home again. But, that doesn’t mean we’re lacking Christmas spirit around here. We had a great weekend with my parents and today, I wanted to share our Christmas home decor ideas for our living room, kitchen and entry areas (front and mudroom) for the holidays this year. I’ll be sharing more this week of our playroom, formal living room, dinning room and upstairs areas, but since it’s picture overload, I thought I’d break it up so this post isn’t 48q649162431 million years long.
Christmas Home Decor Ideas
We recently upgraded our kitchen counter stools to these Safavieh stools and I am loving them SO.MUCH.MORE. I often sit and do work at our kitchen island when Penelope is playing, and these are much more comfortable than our previous stools (seen here) because the seat it larger. I also like that they are heavier, so they don’t tip as easily (which is good since Penelope is constantly climbing. We also added this cane back chair to our desk area (or as I like to call, the catch all area, lol).
As for the living room, you can read more about our tree here. And, you can see some other Safavieh posts I’ve done here and here (we love their stuff!) as well as some past holiday home tours here and here.
And with that friends, I am off to my OBGYN apt. (ahh, 35 weeks) and back home to keep that Christmas prep up! Don’t forget, I have gift guides galore under the “Holiday Gift Guides” drop down menu.
All the coffee for this Monday friends. Thanks as always for reading!
