Outdoor Decor, Master Bedroom and Penelope’s Holiday Decor

Merry Christmas eve friends. I can’t believe it’s here- I feel like the last few weeks have totally FLOWN by. If you’ve been following our holiday home tour (here is part one and here is part two), you know I went a little overboard this holiday season in the new house. It’s been such a crazy year, I just wanted the decor to feel light, bright and merry in our home this season. I think we definitely accomplished that, but I admit, I am not looking forward to taking it all down. Which makes me wonder, how long do you leave your holiday decor up? We typically are a New Years day family, but I might start a little earlier this year with the impending arrival of baby #2.

Today, I wanted to show you around our Master’s decor, Penelope’s decor, the upstairs sofa table and our exterior. I did add little touches of Christmas in the bathrooms upstairs (soap, small trees and handtowels), but I didn’t decorate Baby 2’s room, my office or the guest room because quite frankly, I ran our of decor! Maybe next year…

I know I’m throwing in some outdoor pics with the home tour, but I’ve absolutely loved everything from Grandin Road we got for the exterior this year. The window fillers light up in the evening on a timer and are really lovely. My parents always put Christmas lights up when we were kids and I just love them, so I make it a point to take the holiday decor outdoors as well. And while I’m always a little sad to pack everything up, it does feel like to get it all down and start fresh in the new year. This year, it may take a bit of time to unChristmas-fy.

But today friends, I plan to decorate cookies with Penelope, make my grandmother’s egg nog and blast Christmas music. No unchristmas-ing will be happening here for at least a few days. But first, you know the drill. Coffee.
