This air fried chicken wings post is sponsored by Instant Pot and Walmart. The opinions and text are all mine.
Hi friends! How are you today? The sun is shining, and I’m visiting with all of you, so I can’t complain.
I am so excited to share today’s post with y’all because I am beyond OBSESSED with my new kitchen gadget. Guess what it is? Air fried wings anyone?
Okay, I know it’s in all the photos, but it’s an Instant Pot. But not just any Instant Pot, an Instant Pot Duo Crisp + Air Fryer. So, I actually have an Instant Pot, but this one is WAY more upgraded because it’s a dual-purpose machine, meaning less things in the kitchen. You guys know I hate clutter, so the thought of eliminating two appliances in exchange for one makes me giddy. Plus, it works amazingly with 11 functions: Pressure Cook, Air Fry, Slow Cook, Steam, Roast and more.
To really give you an idea of what this baby can do, today I wanted to share one of my favorite summer recipes with y’all, our buffalo chicken wing recipe. While you can definitely grill these bad boys, I’ve been using the Instant Pot Duo Crisp + Air Fryer because it’s so much easier. Whoever said chicken wings are just for fall and football was wrong, wrong, wrong. We love eating these outdoors together as a family. Discover the crispest wings in an Instant!
So here we go!
Air Fried Chicken Wings
What you need:
- 1-2 lbs chicken wings
- Franks Red Hot (we like variety, so we also pick up other Frank’s flavors). We basically put that $#!+ on everything.
- Garlic powder
- Salt and Pepper
- Everything Bagel seasoning
Here is what you do:
- Pat chicken wings dry and apply a liberal amount of salt and pepper, garlic salt and Everything Bagel seasoning.
- Set your Instant Pot Duo to sauté and sauté wings for 5 minutes flipping once. This helps make them so crispy and juicy!
- After the sauté mode is finished, switch out to your air fryer lid. Place wings in the metal vat and put on air fry for 15 minutes. Once the first 15 minutes are over, mix up vat and then turn on again. ** This amount of time will leave your wings juicy and delicious, but if you’re like us and like your wings crispy run the air fry feature for one more cycle of 8 minutes stopping mid cycle to stir).
- In a separate bowl, add additional seasoning generously.
- Toss perfectly browned wings in seasoning and top with Franks Red Hot (you can split wings for different flavors, or just leave plain for dipping).
- Plate and serve with ranch or blue cheese!
I swear, Aaron won’t eat wings any other way now. I tried to throw a leftover one away and he about murdered me. The Instant Pot Duo Crisp + Air Fryer is amazing, I swear. I love that you can have your favorite fried foods with a healthier twist! Air fried is genius! We’ve also been doing P’s chicken nuggets in it and I may steal half. We don’t even use oil in our recipe because the chicken juices up on its own and is so tender.
Let me know if you plan to try, and don’t forget, you can pick up your favorite Frank’s Hot Sauces and the Instant Pot Duo Crisp + Air Fryer at your local Walmart!
Now, I will just be making up so many recipes for this genius contraption…but first coffee.
