This traveling essentials for a newborn post is sponsored by BabbleBoxx.
Hi friends, how are you? Is anyone else in SHOCK that the holidays are almost upon us? I know I say this every year, but these months have flown by in 2021. I’ve been so MIA on social media, right here and I feel like there is never enough time in the day. BUT, I am really hoping I can get my act together and bring y’all some great holiday content over the next month or so. Today’s post isn’t necessarily “holiday,” but it does have to do with the holidays and traveling. I remember being a first time mom and wondering how on Earth we would be able to travel with a baby, so I thought this post with Babbleboxx might be beneficial to some of you! This traveling essentials post also gives you a little sneak peek of our guest room (which I haven’t shared yet because it’s getting a makeover in 2022).
I recently set up our guest room to accommodate some guests with a small babe and it made me realize, that most everything I was setting up, is also beneficial to holiday travel (or travel in general!). Along with more clothes and diapers than you could ever imagine, here are some of the items I’m loving:
- First and foremost, this The First Years™ First Dreams 3D Portable Bassinet. The nice thing about this is that it folds up smaller than a true pack n’ play and is easy and light weight to move room to room. It’s safe 360 viewing helps put mom and dad at ease, too! Even thought Shep is too big for this now, it’s so great to have on hand when guests come to visit and again, it’s so much easier to travel with than a heavy portable bassinet.
- Portable Bottle Warmer (we’ve had great experiences with The First Years™ Gentle Warmth Digital Bottle Warmer). I also recommend making sure you pack all necessities for baby’s feeding needs. Whether or not you’re a nursing momma, or formula feeding, having a consistent temp definitely helps keep baby on routine even when our of their normal zone of home.
- Baby Magic Gentle Hair & Body Wash and Baby Magic Moisturizing Lotion. I never leave for a trip without taking the approprate infant/toddler body wash and lotion, so I also always have these on hand at home. I trust this brand and know that baby’s skin is way more sensitive than ours, so to me, these products are a necessity.
- Triple Paste Diaper Cream. I love these little travel tubes with all my might and they have saved Shepard’s bum bum MANY times. I love how thick the paste is and doesn’t cause irritation. You can find coupons on their website, too! So bonus!
- Who can forget mom? Part of the hassle of traveling with a newborn is mom feeling RUN.DOWN. I have not used these products in my experiences, but I can assure I love the idea behind them and will definitely keep them on hand for any of my recently postpartum friends. AfterEase is formulated to help ease those post-delivery cramps and BabyBlues helps boost those baby blues (as stated, haha) so mom can be supported to enjoy her travels instead of dreading them. Both products are Non-GMO, Organic and gluten-free which is always a win when you’re taking care of a little one.
- Breastfeeding support, IF you’re nursing, you definitely don’t want to forget those necessities like your pump, extra bottles and of course Bamboobies Washable Nursing Pads and also their Bamboobies Organic Nipple Balm (a must have). I have stock piles of these because I remember how challenging nursing can be. Not only would I stock our diaper bag with them, but I keep them on hand for any guests that might come in need. The LAST thing you want to feel while traveling for the holidays is like you’re leaking or uncomfortable. Bamboobies to the rescue (they are seriously the best, I know form experience). Now until the end of the year, you can use the code BABBLEBOXX for a discount.
Anywho, hopefully if you plan to travel with your newborn this holiday season, you get some much needed R&R in between trips. Moving around can be exhausting, but it’s so important to visit with family and friends (especially after last year). These traveling essentials will definitely help ease your mind on long travels and make you and baby/family more comfortable. For me personally, I have always found that planning ahead saves SO MUCH anxiety and hassle, so cheers to getting a head start!
Tomorrow I am hoping to get my office bathroom reveal up for yall! Yay! Don’t forget, you can see some of my gift guides for the upcoming holidays here.
