You’ve seen a lot of transformations in our house since we moved here, but today’s glow up is one of my favorites, mostly, because it’s a space all my own. When we moved into this house, we almost didn’t realize there was a bathroom adjoining the 5th bedroom because when you open up the bedroom door, it kind of hides/covers the bathroom door. The design is a little funky, but that’s ok since it’s off my office (we turned our 5th bedroom into my office space, more here) and no one really uses this bathroom except for me anyway.
Except, it was basically non functional when we moved in.
Before:
While the bank had tiled the shower, there were no doors to even use the shower and given the shape, it was impossible to use a curtain. It’s a pretty small bathroom and honestly, it was dark and cramped, it always felt dingy and dark. For the first year and a half here, we just let it be. I used the toilet when I was working and the sink, but we didn’t do anything to this room since it was functional for what I needed. But the thing is, is that it bothered me. Who has a non functional shower they can’t use?! It made no sense. After having Shepard, having my office space be a little oasis of my own became even more important and so I teamed up with Build with Ferguson to give this space a functional revamp. You guys know I love Build with Ferguson, we revamped our kitchen lighting and did a master bathroom refresh with them. They carry superior products, I know and trust their dependability and they have consultants which I found super helpful during my virtual meeting with our local brand to pick fixtures and walk through my revamp plan. While we didn’t change a ton in this room, it looks completely different just by hanging Livette’s wallpaper (I also used it in our mudroom), utilizing Delta products for fixtures and hanging, YES — you guessed it, shower doors! I don’t shower in here, but I can’t tell you what having doors and a pan means to me, haha This is the second time we’ve selected this brand of doors and Delta products from Build with Ferguson. We love and trust the quality, but they also have hundreds of other amazing brands.
Aaron and I basically DIY’ed everything in this project, except we did hire out changing the rough-in for the new Delta shower-head. Other than that, we hung the doors, switched the hardwares and fixtures and I hung the wallpaper. It’s been done for awhile now, but life has just been so busy, but I am so thankful I get to share with you now!
I stock piled this bathroom with guest necessities on the shelving above the toilet just in case guests ever need to shower in here, or we transform this back into a bedroom. Eventually, we’d love to switch out the vanity, but just having this space transform into bright and airy vs. dreary and dull has made all the difference. Honestly, now when I sit at my desk I actually leave the bathroom door open as opposed to shutting it to avoid looking at it. This wallpaper we picked goes amazing with the chrome/brushed champagne fixtures and I love looking at it.

If you’re in the market for fixtures, doors, etc. I couldn’t recommend Build by Ferguson enough (they might even have a local showroom near you for a design meeting!) — if not, the internet works great, too! What do you think about this office glow up? I’m personally in love! It goes to show that even some of the smallest rooms in our home can pack a huge punch with the right decor, fixtures and love!
If you love any of the fixtures, Build with Ferguson has a whole page with all of the listed products for ease of shopping, here.
Now, for some afternoon iced coffee so my energy can have a glow up, LOL. Thanks for reading friends, I know it’s hot outside in so many parts, so stay cool!
