Every morning before (or at work), I have granola and Greek yogurt. It keeps me full and is slightly sweet, so it’s just enough to get me through my mornings without wanting to eat my hands. I usually pick up my granola from Whole Foods or TJ’s, but a week or so ago, I decided I was going to try my own hand at some granola making. It turned out great and was so much less expensive than buying a huge bag of it!
Here’s what you need:
- 4 cups rolled oats (old fashioned)
- 1 cup coconut
- Honey
- 4 tbs butter
- raisins
- sliced almonds
Melt butter and honey (to taste), sprinkle over rolled oats and other toppings in large bowl. Spread mixture thinly over cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degree for 15 minutes or until crispy and light golden brown- stir occasionally.
Sprinkle on yogurt (or milk), add toppings like berries and enjoy!
Did I mention how easy this was?
Obviously, the recipe is subjective to whatever you’d like to add.
Cranberries would be great as well as other varieties of nuts! This granola will keep for roughly 1.5-2 weeks in a tupperware container!

What about you? What do you eat for breakfast? Granola fan?
