::BLazer c/o SheInside (similar here), dress c/o Lulus (here), Scarf (old) World Market, Bracelets stella and dot c/o, Forever21:: |
Do you remember this post where I discussed my problems with color and fall/winter? Yea, repeat offender, but this jacket has completely grown on me from SheInside and I think it might be in love. And this Lulu’s dress paired with it? Fabulousness (p.s. Christmas is around the corner and every time I hear that word, I think of Jim Carey in The Grinch, any others?). When I first got this dress, I figured I’d pair it much like Lulu’s has on it’s site, casual. And while I think I did that with the flat boots, I also think this jacket added a touch of girly pink fun, amiright?
This past weekend when my girlfriend was visiting, she borrowed these Shoemint booties for the night. Guess what? The next day she bought them when I was running an errand. It’s SUPER silly, but it made me appreciate our friendship and how comfortable it is. She knew I would not care one tiny bit if we sported the same boot, in fact, I think we have about 30+ pieces of clothing that probably match if not more. I always have a hard time shopping with “new” friends because it’s awkward when you both love something but the other doesn’t pick it up because you don’t want to be a copy cat or THAT person. Do you know what I mean? I think I’m finally getting to that point with my “new” friends here and we feel so blessed to have met some truly amazing people, but it was just understood without having to be stated as my girlfriend and I discussed if she had ordered the purple or the black Siennas. It made me miss those great gals back in Ohio- but it also made me realize they aren’t ever really that far either- just a quick text of “hey, I bought those adorable boots you have” away.
Do you and you gal pals have an understanding about buying the same items? Do you find it difficult when shopping with new people to buy the same things?

I completely understand what you mean! I can recall a few times shopping with newer friends and showing them something I liked, and then they went and bought it. I felt awkward if I bought it as well! Then on the other hand, I have my close friends where we could practically dress like it was National Twin day every day of the year 🙂 Really cute look! I try to shy away from color in fall/winter, but always fail I love them too much 🙂

Ha I never cared much if someone owned the same thing as me. I have friends that don't want to tell people where they got a certain item and I'm soooo not like that:) I could care less!
Love your cute printed dress styled for cold weather with those tights and booties!

Love the bright pink blazer! I don't mind if one of my friends buys the same item as me! I take it as a compliment! But for some reason I feel weird buying something if I see my friend wearing it first. I don't know why!

I believe immatation is the highest form of flattery, I don't mind if my friends buy the same things, it's just understood if we have the same dress give me a heads up so we aren't wearing it to the same event. (No twinning in public 🙂 Color looks great on you!

I sometimes am super flattered when someone copies me but then sometimes I get annoyed. I feel like the intentions behind the copying is what really matters. As silly as that sounds!
