One of the things I was most excited for in the new place was a desk to call my own. Along the back of our living room, I have set up shop in my very own little “blogging/applying for jobs nook” and I love it. It’s the perfect amount of girly for the room without being over the top (IMO). It sure beats blogging from the couch!
I knew I wanted to keep the space functional and free of clutter which is where the metal file folder and picture boxes came in. With only one drawer on the desk, I needed some extra space to stash stuff and those three things come in handy BIG time. I keep extra magazine, bills to be paid, my blogging notebook and my Brittany Fuson planner in the file folder and the two picture boxes (which sit on the floor) hold my stationary and then small odds and ends. The drawer is of course filled with more “where can I stash this stuff” goods.
Although the coffee table books, the gorgeous sketch Brittany did of me and the wedding picture don’t really serve a purpose, these are all things that make me smile on the daily and I think it’s important to fill your life with those types of things everyday.

Where do you do your work? Whether it’s just emailing, blogging, online shopping? Do you have your own desk or do you plop down somewhere else?
What an adorable chair and little blogging nook! I have a very similar desk–I told myself it was for blogging, too…but I still do most of my work from my couch (what can I say, I'm lazy!).

Your desk is so pretty! I loved how you styled it. We just moved in and have started to decorate and make each space more our own but I still haven't defined and office area and I really need to. This is great inspiration!

Having your own desk space is important. I can't work on a couch or a bed now that I have my desk. It makes me sleepy and then I get off track. Plus, I love having my girly space that I can do whatever I want with.

I love your little nook though- I don't really have one; partially because my laptop at home is broken so I haven't been blogging at home! I do have my sewing corner set up- but I still tend to move my sewing machine to the dining room table because I have more space there.

I love the space you set up for yourself! I usually blog from my bed or the couch, whichever is comfortable.
I was lucky enough to get an apartment that has it's own office with double doors! The doors come in handy, because it's probably my most lived in room besides my bedroom… so it's always messy! I need to clean it up this week though! Fall time means cleaning 🙂
