Cincy Visit

Over Thanksgiving we headed back to Cincinnati which is where Im from and where our wedding will be at the end of this month. Fiance and I had some appointments to head to and then we spent the evening with my parents visting the conservatory and having dinner. While waiting for my parents to arrive, we stopped for a snack and to peep the view of Cincy’s skyline. I never appreciated that skyline when I was younger, but now, the longer I seem to be away from home, the prettier I think that skyline gets. Cincinnati is no LA, Chicago, San Fran, DC or NYC, but it will always feel like coming home to me.

And like Dorothy said, there really is no place like home.

I am in love with this cape I picked up from Forever21. Its decently warm and pretty sturdy. I felt it was worth the price, but I wouldn’t plan on wearing it alone in a snow storm or anything. I do have a feeling that while the snow holds out it will be on repeat despite the eyeballing it received from the soon-to-be.

    The Cincy skyline along the river is pretty. I grew up on Lake Erie and although I hated it growing up, it's nice to come back and visit. I appreciate the lake and all the fun tourist stuff now 🙂 Heather

    I always feel at home when I head to Long Island, even though I've been gone for a few years now. Most of my family doesn't even live there anymore! But it's still home.

    I actually don't feel like that because my parents have split and no one lives in the family home anymore, so the home I made with my husband and son is my "home". But i totally know what you mean. I love your outfit, by the way.
