A little day trip to visit the Amish and a Date Night

As I said yesterday, Saturday fiance and I hopped into the car and made the 45minute hike (or drive) to Amish country. We stopped in Berlin (I wish it was the Germany Berlin, but it wasn’t- you’re probably thinking, duh), walked around for a bit, had lunch, spent some money on some yummy goodies, hopped back into the car, drove to a wine tasting and then headed home for a dinner date.
The weather was overcast and chilly, but luckily it didn’t rain and it actually was nice weather for walking around and sipping hot coffee in. Berlin is more of a “touristy” attraction for Amish Country, so once we were finished exploring, we drove around a bit looking at the farms, one-room school houses and scenery. Here are some pics we snapped throughout the day:
I have to admit, driving over huge piles of horse droppings throughout Amish country didn’t make me too excited to wash my wheels next. And that peanut butter spread? Well now I know why the Amish are all such hard workers, they are on sugar highs! That stuff if delightfully yummy, but pure sugar!
Anywho, after we came home from eating all the goodies in the world and buying some candles that smelled good enough to eat, we headed out to dinner.

I think I gave the soon-to-be trend overload with this outfit. He wasn’t the biggest fan of the floral pants or Peter Pan neckline of this top, but I scored both for such great deals, I didn’t even mind (Plus, I secretly love both despite what his opinion is)!
After dinner we got some delicious fro-yo (but it was half way melted before we even got to the checkout line due to the huge line) and I may or may not have started eating the fruit topping off mine before we weighed them to pay- oops. No patience. We rented Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston’s Wanderlust after and I have to admit, it was probably on the top ten list of worst movies I’ve ever seen. And no, I don’t have a weird obsession with J Aniston, she just happened to be in Friday’s post (here), yesterdays post (here) and today’s. But seriously, that movie was bad- but I had to sit through the whole thing because it’s like a car crash, you just have to watch to see how it ends.
What do you all think floral denim, Peter Pan collars? Do or don’t? Have you seen Wanderlust? Did you like, not like? Or were you completely creeped out by the nudity, partner sharing that was throughout it?

    that sounds like a really fun date…despite the movie at the end (i love paul rudd, but i have no desire to see this movie)! i love your outfit…and buying it at a steal makes it even better! that collar is so pretty!

    Love the floral pants! I saw over half of Wanderlust and I didn't like it. I just didn't really think it was that funny. Kind of boring actually 😉 Watched it on a plane though so at least there wasn't a movie ticket lost…
    I do like the Peter Pan collars but it's too girly/feminine for me personally. Just doesn't look right on me.

    I love Peter Pan collars and floral! ANYTHING floral! 🙂 I think this outfit is very pretty, and it's good that your guy still takes you out even when he doesn't "get" your outfit: I put my poor husband through similar torture all the time. 😉

    I have been wearing those collars for a while now and I can't get tired of them. They're so versatile! Got them just in plain fabric, with lace details, with beads, even in leather,… They give something extra to my outfits. And I am kind of into the "good girl" look 🙂

    I am also very fond of flower print, especially with trousers so it will come as no surprise that I love love love yours as well!

    I love everything. No overload here to me! The floral pants are so cute and I love them with the peter pan collar. My hubs and I watched that movie too and thought it was a bit ridiculous. It had some funny parts. I love all of your hairstyles btw!

    I love the peter pan collar. Where I live now outside of London that's about all you see. 😀
